ORAN -- Edith Revelea Crafton, 73, of Spring, Texas, formerly of Oran, died Thursday, June 9, 1994, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Aid, daughter of Robert Chesley and Idus Ellen Edwards Rainey. She was the stepdaughter of Lacey Bernard. She married Boyd O. Crafton Aug. 23, 1939...

ORAN -- Edith Revelea Crafton, 73, of Spring, Texas, formerly of Oran, died Thursday, June 9, 1994, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.

She was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Aid, daughter of Robert Chesley and Idus Ellen Edwards Rainey. She was the stepdaughter of Lacey Bernard. She married Boyd O. Crafton Aug. 23, 1939.

Crafton graduated from Oran High School in 1939, and until 1951 had been a secretary for several engineering firms.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Audrey Crafton of Spring; four sisters, Laydus Bernard and Barbara Venable of Scott City, Etber LeGrand and Zexia Sietman of Oran; a brother, Lail Bernard of Sikeston, and a stepsister, Ethel Thomas of Willcox, Ariz.

Burial will be later in Friend Cemetery at Oran.
