Memorial service for Edith Lightfoot of Farmington will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson City.
Lightfoot, 97, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1991, at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington.
She was born Oct. 19, 1893, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Emil and Amelia Sebastian. She married Edward Lee Lightfoot in March 1918. He died Dec. 26, 1932.
Lightfoot attended Cape Girardeau Public Schools, and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University. She taught school 40 years at Cuba, Poplar Bluff and Cape Girardeau. She retired in 1957 and moved to Jefferson City, and later moved to Presbyterian Manor. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son, Edward Lightfoot of Jefferson City; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
