Edith Haman Heath, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at the Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born July 3, 1909 in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William Christian and Adeline Bennett Haman. She married Walter W. "Chick" Heath at Jonesboro, Ill., on May 22, 1928. He died Jan. 31, 1973...

Edith Haman Heath, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at the Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born July 3, 1909 in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William Christian and Adeline Bennett Haman. She married Walter W. "Chick" Heath at Jonesboro, Ill., on May 22, 1928. He died Jan. 31, 1973.

Heath was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a son, Maj. Robert E. Heath, ret., of rural Cape Girardeau County; two daughters, Carol Tritschler and Patricia Ann Smith, both of Cape Girardeau; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a brother and two sisters.

A private family remembrance will be held at a later date. McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of the arrangements.
