Edith B. Stuart, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, May 27, 1993, at the Ratcliff Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 4, 1902, daughter of John and Emma Brucher Wilson, in Cape Girardeau.
She married Charles E. Stuart on Nov. 5, 1938, in Hannibal, Mo. He preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1965.
She taught school in Ste. Genevieve. She later retired as a secretary for a food broker in Chicago, Ill. She has been a resident of Cape Girardeau since 1959.
She was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University in 1924. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church.
Survivors include several cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Graveside service will be held today at Lorimier Cemetery, with the Rev. Brant V. Hazlett officiating. Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
