FROHNA, Mo. -- Edgar W. Roth Sr., 84, of Frohna died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 21, 1919, at Frohna, son of Herman and Frieda Fritsche Roth. He and Evelyn Schuessler were married Jan. 31, 1943.
Roth was an appliance technician with the May Co., and also farmed and raised livestock. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Edgar Roth Jr. of Troy, Mo., Donald Roth of Perryville, Melvin Roth of Frohna, Terry Roth of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Kathryn Haertling of Altenburg, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Concordia Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Wayne Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
