DONGOLA, Ill. -- Edgar "Dick" Gaddis, 84, Dongola Route 2, died Monday, March 4, 1996, at City Care Center in Anna.
He was born June 9, 1911, in Cobden, son of Ed and Nancy Stevens Gaddis. He and Juanita Hickam were married July 1, 1939, in Anna.
Gaddis retired as a plumber and pipefitter with Clyde L. Choate Mental Health Center in Anna. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Dongola.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles and Don Gaddis of Dongola; a daughter, Lois Treece of Dupo; two sisters, Margaret Cottone and Beatrice Turner of Anna; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5:30-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lucian Bozarth officiating. Burial will be in Big Creek Cemetery.
