JACKSON -- Funeral service for Edgar G. Nagel of Southaven, Miss., will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Steve Howell will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today.

Nagel, 72, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1993, at Baptist-Desoto Hospital in Southaven.

He was born April 9, 1920, at Jackson, son of August Louis and Alma Goehmann Nagel. He married the former Hazel Stephens.

Nagel was personnel manager of the legal department at Mid-West Farms Branch of Southland Corp. He was a member of Carriage Hills Baptist Church in Southaven, and past president of Rotary Club at Sikeston. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Betty Nelson of San Antonio, Texas, Carolyn Saliba of Tampa, Fla., Shirley Ray of Houston, Texas, Linda Teague of New York, N.Y.
