CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for Edgar E. Breeding, 722 Caruthers, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Neil Stein will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. today.

Breeding, 80 years old, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 1990, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 1, 1910, at Afton, son of Edgar and Dora Beier Breeding. He and the former Margaret Lee Limbaugh were married Dec. 14, 1939, at Benton. She died in April 1990.

Breeding was a salesman at B & H Auto (formerly Harris Motor Co.) 48 years, retiring in December 1981. He received many service awards for outstanding salesmanship during his career. He was a longtime member of TPA and an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Jenny Breeding of Cape, and a sister-in-law, Betty Peterson of Tampa, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray, and a sister, Dorothy.
