Edgar Herbert Burroughs, 72, of Jackson died Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at Monticello House.
He was born Sept. 21, 1945, in Frohna, Missouri, to Albert Carl and Elda Rosa Perr Burroughs.
He attended Perryville High School and served in the National Guard.
Edgar had worked for the Chryler Corporation in Fenton, Missouri.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include two daughters, Misty (Tony) Wheelock and Shannon (Eric Lange) Pfluegger of Arnold, Missouri; a son, Jason Burroughs of Arnold; four brothers, Gerold A. (Sue Coomer) Burroughs of St. Mary, Missouri, Jerry P. (Shirley) Burroughs of Frohna, Ilmer E. (Connie) Burroughs of Frohna and Ken C. (Colleen) Burroughs of Altenburg, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brooke, Ashley, Riley, Madison, Talyor and Carter; and a great-grandchild, Stefan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Erna L. Kmetty, in 1974; and sister-in-law, Shirley Burroughs.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Because the scheduled funeral service has been changed to 1 p.m. Wednesday, there will be an additional visitation time held from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Maske officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Diabetes Association or Trinity Lutheran Church.
