Eddie Phillips

THEBES, Ill. -- Eddie Merle Phillips, 66, of Thebes died Monday, Aug. 20, 20007, at his home.

He was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Paducah, Ky., son of Jesse and Anna B. Wilson Phillips.

Phillips was a retired farm laborer.

Survivors include a sister, Bernice Range of Jamestown, N.Y., and a brother, Ralph Phillips of Thebes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday at Rock Springs Baptist Church near Thebes.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Bruce Clubb officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Thebes.

Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
