STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- Edgar J. "Big Guy" Nenninger, 83, of Ste. Genevieve died Friday, July 7, 2017, at his home. He was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Leopold, Missouri. He married Eloise M. Steinnerd on June 26, 1954, and she survives. STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- Edgar J. "Big Guy" Nenninger, 83, of Ste. Genevieve died Friday, July 7, 2017, at his home.

He was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Leopold, Missouri.

He married Eloise M. Steinnerd on June 26, 1954, and she survives.

Ed was a member of Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in St. Louis, the Holy Name Society, Carpenters Union and Knights of Columbus Council 4429 at Our Lady of Fatima in Hazelwood, Missouri.

He was a carpenter. He loved to hunt, fish, pitch horseshoes and spend time with his family and friends.

Along with his wife, other survivors include two daughters, Debra (David) Green of St. Charles, Missouri, and Diane (Stephen) Miller of Ste. Genevieve; a son, Kevin (Peggy) Nenninger of Warrenton, Missouri; a brother, Greg (Jenny) Nenninger of Leopold; three sisters-in-law, Eleanor Nenninger of Cape Girardeau and Zita Nenninger and Barb Nenninger, both of St. Louis; grandchildren, Luke, Matt (Tiffany) and Andy Miller and Eric (Jessica) Beckman; and great-grandchildren, Reagan and Sadie Miller.

Edgar was preceded in death by his father, Henry Nenninger, and mother, Martha (Elfrink) Nenninger; two sisters, Evelyn Buessink and Carolyn Nenninger; and three brothers, Eugene, Ted and Tom Nenninger.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
