SIKESTON, Mo. -- Edward Henry "Ed" Berry Jr., 59, of Sikeston died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs, Ark. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Edward Henry "Ed" Berry Jr., 59, of Sikeston died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs, Ark.

He was born May 9, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of Edward Henry and Gertrude Billings Berry. He and Fran Sizemore were married June 3, 1997, at Benton, Mo.

Berry was a 1963 graduate of Sikeston High School, a graduate of the University of Missouri, and became a certified public accountant in 1977.

He was affiliated with Berry and Forbis CPA. He was a member of First Christian Church, American Institute of CPA, and Missouri Society of CPA.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Keith Berry of Livingston, Mont., Chris Berry of Sikeston; three stepsons, Scott Marler of Sikeston, Chris Marler of Nixa, Mo., Matt Marler of Pittsburg, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Tracy Bailey of St. Joseph, Mo.; a sister, Cassandra Peterson of Las Vegas, Nev.; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 4 to 9 p.m. today.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date, with the Rev. Tom Geers officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Missouri Military Honors Program.
