PULASKI, Ill. -- Earnest Edward "Tom Cat" Palmer, 86, of Pulaski died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born Sept. 29, 1911, in Pulaski, son of Earnest Melton and Della Mae Thurston Palmer.
Palmer was a retired farmer, and member of Ullin Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include six sons, Charles Palmer of Fayetteville, Ark., Bobby Palmer of Texas City, Texas, Barry Palmer of Dongola, Billy Palmer of Kaufman, Texas, Stanley Palmer of Jonesboro, Jerry Palmer of Anna; two daughters, Mildred Griffith of Cypress, Norma Jerraid of Elkhart, Ind.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Billy Don Heady and Ernest Browning officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Pulaski.
