CHAFFEE -- Earlean Orlowski, 96, of Chaffee died Friday, June 6, 1997, at Heartland Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 12, 1901, in Memphis, Tenn., daughter of Ed and Nellie Dooms Smith. She married Stanley Orlowski, and he preceded her in death.

She worked as a punch presser at Murry Car Parts in Detroit until her retirement.

She is survived by a son, James Nelson of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and a half-sister.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee with the Rev. Joe Payne officiating. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
