CHARLESTON -- Earl Russell Riley, 66, of Charleston died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 24, 1930, in Indianapolis, Ind., son of Claude Francis and Mary Dathol Riley. He and Janette Allensworth were married Jan. 22, 1955...

CHARLESTON -- Earl Russell Riley, 66, of Charleston died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 24, 1930, in Indianapolis, Ind., son of Claude Francis and Mary Dathol Riley. He and Janette Allensworth were married Jan. 22, 1955.

Riley worked at Atteberry Dairy 27 years, and then worked at Prairie Farms Dairy until retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jeff Riley of Wyatt; a daughter, Angela Riley of Charleston; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry's Church, with Msgr. Mike Swalina and the Rev. Rich Lause officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery near Charleston.
