ANNA, Ill. -- Earl Manus, 87, of Anna, died Saturday, June 11, 1994, at the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born Sept. 28, 1906, in Union County, son of James and Alice Jackson Manus. He married Mina Garner, Nov. 22, 1931, at Anna. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anna. He was also a member of the Carpenters Local 638 of Marion for 53 years. Manus was a carpenter by trade and a lifelong resident of Union County...

ANNA, Ill. -- Earl Manus, 87, of Anna, died Saturday, June 11, 1994, at the Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born Sept. 28, 1906, in Union County, son of James and Alice Jackson Manus.

He married Mina Garner, Nov. 22, 1931, at Anna.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anna. He was also a member of the Carpenters Local 638 of Marion for 53 years. Manus was a carpenter by trade and a lifelong resident of Union County.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Bob Manus of Anna; a daughter, Patricia Kapicka of Country Club Hills; a brother, Paul Manus of Anna; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and a grandson.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Gearing officiating.

Burial will follow in the Anna Cemetery.
