SIKESTON -- Earl O. Maas, 61, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 10, 1936, in Barberton, Ohio, son of Paul and Sylvia Marie Womack Maas. He and Ruby Carroll were married Nov. 11, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Maas was day manager at South Side One Stop. He was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Fleet Reserve Association.
He retired from the U.S. Navy, having served at the end of the Korean War and during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John Maas of Kansas; three daughters, Juanita, Becky and Elizabeth Maas, all of California; two stepdaughters, Barbara Manley of Sikeston, Kathy Graham of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Frank Maas of San Francisco, Calif., Charles and Daniel Maas of Canal Fulton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ponder Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Trotter officiating.
