PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Earl Joseph Lukefahr, 91, of Perryville passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Earl Joseph Lukefahr, 91, of Perryville passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 6, 1931, in Perryville to Joseph Daniel and Emma Gertrude Huber Lukefahr. He and Marie Lukefahr were married Aug. 2, 1952, at Sedgewickville Methodist Church.

He served two years in the U.S. Army.

He was a farmer. He was a member of Crossroads Methodist Church and Patton Saddle Club, and was a delegate for MFA. He enjoyed hunting and horseback riding.

Survivors include four daughters, Deborah (John) Brewer, Kimberly (Ray) Kiefer, Angela (Chad) Williams and Rebecca (Joe) Besand; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers, Clyde Lukefahr and Leroy Lukefahr; and four sisters, Etta June French, Edna Rose Conrad, Clara Mae Lukefahr and Ethel Lukefahr.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, and from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Barron officiating. Burial will be at Crossroads United Methodist Cemetery in Bollinger County, Missouri, with military honors provided by Delta Team and American Legion Post No. 133.

Memorial contributions may be given to Crossroads Methodist Church.
