GRANITE CITY, Ill. -- Earl L. Luehmann, 68, of Granite City died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 16, 1930, in Granite City, son of Charles and Katherine Dickmann Luehmann. He married Juanita Jane Portell, who preceded him in death.
Luehmann was a train engineer with Granite City Steel, and also farmed. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include seven sons, Earl Luehmann Jr., Jeff, Tim, Eric, John, Carl and Greg Luehmann, all of Charleston, Mo.; a brother, Charles Luehmann of Granite City; a sister, Gloria Mullen of Bardonia, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at Irwin Chapel in Granite City from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Denise McGary officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates Cemetery at Glen Carbon.
