McCLURE, Ill. -- Earl L. Goodman, 87, of McClure died Sunday, Dec. 17, 1995, at his home.
He was born April 3, 1908, at Gravel Hill, son of Sidney Walter and Lizzie B. Ward Goodman. On Dec. 24, 1934, he married Opal Ripple, who preceded him in death March 25, 1989. On April 14, 1991, he married Pauline Hooker.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald Goodman of Selma, Tenn.; a daughter, Norma Cook, hometown unknown; a step-son, Russel Hooker of South Bend, Ind.; three step-daughters, Ethel Rieldle of McClure, Mozell Holland of McClure and Sharon Burkhart of South Bend, Ind.; two brothers, Leroy Goodman of East St. Louis and Daniel Goodman of Belleville; five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and 11 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. today at Hileman and Parr Funeral Services in Jonesboro, Ill., where funeral service is at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Roy Higgs will officiate, and burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
