MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Earl Jackson, 88, of Mound City, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born April 12, 1904, in Moccasin Springs, Mo., son of William H. and Mary Ellen Gregory Jackson.
Jackson was a retired journeyman lineman. He was a member of Cairo Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge at Golconda, IBEW Local 702, and Smiles Senior Citizens Center in Mounds.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Mary McGinness of Cairo, Barbara Rose of Paris, Tenn.; a son, Allan Jackson of Mound City; two sisters, Nell Ackman of Cape Girardeau, Clara Side of Jackson, Mo.; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cairo Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry L. Potts will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City after 5 p.m. today, and at the church from 9 a.m. to service time.
