TAMMS, Ill. -- Earl Honey, 87, of Tamms died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at his home.
He was born on June 11, 1913, at Tamms, son of Fred and Essie Blackston Honey. He and Jewel Phillips were married Jan. 27, 1934.
He was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel, of Tamms; six sons, Delmar Honey of Rockford, Ill., Darrell Honey of Pittsburg, Ill., Glenn Honey of Mounds, Ill., and Douglas, Gary and Terry Honey of Tamms; a brother, Ray Honey of Bourbonnais, Ill., eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two infant brothers.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today and until the time of service Monday.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating. Burial will be in McCrite Cemetery.
