SIKESTON -- Earl Hassell "Palzo" Scott of Sikeston died Friday, June 26, 1998, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was 80. SIKESTON -- Earl Hassell "Palzo" Scott of Sikeston died Friday, June 26, 1998, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was 80.

He was born Feb. 25, 1918, in Clarksville, Ark., son of William and Georgia Hardin Scott. He married Christine Cantrell Dec. 16, 1940, in Benton. She died Feb. 26, 1998.

He was a retired maintenance worker for the Missouri Department of Transportation.

He is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Karnes of Sikeston; a son, Larry Scott of Sikeston; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, five brothers, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with Woodrow Phillips officiating.

Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
