Earl Foster, 77, of Scott City died Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at his home.
He was born July 31, 1939, in Crowder, Missouri, to William R. and Lena Mae Cooper Foster.
In May 1957, after graduation from Morley High School, he entered the U.S. Army and served for the next 21 years. While serving from May 1957 to May 1978, he obtained the rank of master sergeant. He served three overseas commands: Germany, Korea and Vietnam. While serving in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
Graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.
