JACKSON -- Earl E. Vogelsang, 79, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 20, 1920, in Gordonville, son of Ervin and Amelia Frank Vogelsang.
He married Geraldine M. Bierschwal on Oct. 22, 1938, in Corning, Ark. She died March 1, 1999.
He was retired from Drury & Varies Co., as a carpenter. He had also worked at Hood's Construction. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and Carpenters' Local 1770.
Survivors include three sons, Earl Dale Vogelsang, Jeffrey Vogelsang, and Gregory Vogelsang, all of Jackson; four brothers, Ervin Vogelsang and Calvin Vogelsang, both of Cape Girardeau, Robert Vogelsang of Farmington, and Charles Vogelsang of Louisville, Ky.; three sisters, Vernice Baumstark of Cape Girardeau, Erma Oliver of Columbia, Mo., and Vera Phillips of Clinton, Miss.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a great-stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and a granddaughter.
Friends may call from 4:30-8 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating.
Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
