JONESBORO -- Earl E. Ring, 79, of Jonesboro, died Friday Dec. 30, 1994 at Southeast Hospital.

He was born Dec. 19, 1915 in Centralia, Ill., the son of Ernest and Della Arnold Ring. On Oct. 8, 1991 he married Florence Knupp in Wolf Lake, Ill., who survives.

Other survivors include: one son, Dick Ring of Wolf Lake; one daughter, Patty Lou Huffman of Tamms; one step-son, Doyle Hale of Carrier Mills; one brother, Ervin Ring of Wolf Lake; one sister, Flossie Wallace of the state of Indiana; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Wolf Lake Methodist Church, the Oak Forest Masonic Lodge #832 AF & AM; a World War II veteran, and a retired mechanic with Commonwealth Edison Co. in Chicago.

Masonic rites were conducted Sunday by the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #111. Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. John Prather, pastor of the Wolf Lake Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial was in the Massac Memorial Gardens in Metropolis, with full military honors at the grave by Anna VFW Post 3455.
