JACKSON -- Earl Clinton McBride, 84, of Jackson died Saturday, Feb. 10, 1996, at his home.
He was born Sept. 27, 1911, in Cape Girardeau County, son of John William and Isabelle Walker McBride. He and Hazel Abernathy were married June 14, 1931, in Columbia.
McBride worked for Cape County Milling Co. and owned a service station in Jackson for several years. He also owned McBride Appliance Sales and Service and later was a salesman for Kamps Appliance Sales and Service in Jackson. In 1957, he began operating Lincoln and McBride Aluminum Co. until his retirement.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson and had been a deacon and director of the Young People Sunday School class there. He also served as an officer of the corporation and was church treasurer for several years.
Survivors are his wife of Jackson and a sister, Eula Schearf of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. Bill Ellis will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
