SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Earl Brewer, Sikeston Route 2, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Lloyd Lathum and Dewayne Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Brewer, 84, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 1995, in the Emergency Room at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 1, 1910, in Swinton, son of Homer and Maude Cooper Brewer. He and Faye Lingle were married Oct. 12, 1939, in Sikeston.
Brewer was an airplane mechanic during World War II and the Korean War and worked at the air base in Malden. He was a mechanic and autobody worker at Hart's Bakery 26 years.
He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ, and Teamsters Local in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Kenneth, Harold and Glen Brewer of Sikeston; three daughters, Wanda Moring of Nixa, Brenda Varvel of Sikeston, Thelma Slayton of Canalou; a brother, Carl Brewer of Las Vegas, Nev.; 18 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
