PUXICO -- Earl C. Boyt, 74, of Puxico died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was born Sept. 12, 1924, at Parma, son of Charles Clinton and Lola B. Taylor Boyt. He married Mary Ellen Watson. Boyt lived in Scottsburg, Ind., from 1963 until moving to the Puxico area in 1995. He attended Corinth General Baptist Church near Puxico. PUXICO -- Earl C. Boyt, 74, of Puxico died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Sept. 12, 1924, at Parma, son of Charles Clinton and Lola B. Taylor Boyt. He married Mary Ellen Watson.

Boyt lived in Scottsburg, Ind., from 1963 until moving to the Puxico area in 1995. He attended Corinth General Baptist Church near Puxico. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include four sons, Ronald and Charles Boyt of Scottsburg, Kenny Boyt of Jacksonville, Fla., Roger Boyt of Peru, Ind.; four daughters, Margie Able of Sarasota, Fla., Sherry Minnifee of Columbus, Ind., Kathy Hubbard of Naples, Fla., and Theresa Evans of England.

Also surviving are two brothers, Leonard Boyt of Dudley, Perry Boyt of Dexter; six sisters, Mary Morgan and Dorothy Boyt of Bloomfield, Donna Hunt and Pansy Hopkins of Grandin, Margie Worley of Dexter, Gloria Clowes of Marble Hill; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico after 5 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Bob Bradford and W.V. Mosbey officiating. Burial will be in Scottsburg Cemetery at a later date.
