PULASKI, Ill. -- Funeral service for Ernest Orlan Parker of Pulaski will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pulaski Christian Church, with the Rev. Jesse Bellamy and William Winters officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at the church from 5-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Thursday. Masonic service will be at 7 tonight.

Parker, 82, died Monday, Aug. 7, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born May 25, 1913, in Pulaski, son of William Ernest and Mary Alice Dille Parker. He and Mildred Melton were married June 15, 1935, in Cairo.

Parker was a retired farmer. He was a member and elder at Pulaski Christian Church; member of Caledonia Masonic Lodge 47 AF&AM and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 587 in Pulaski, and Ainad Shrine Temple in East St. Louis.

He was a charter member and former director of Pulaski County Fair Association, where he had served as superintendent of horse shows and of the cattle division. He was a member of Pulaski-Alexander County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Peggy Heilig and Betty Reynolds of Pulaski; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
