E. DAVID MAJOR

ANNA, Ill. -- E. David Major, 57, of Anna died Friday, Oct. 18, 1996, at his home.

He was born Aug. 4, 1939, in Eden, son of Walter David and Anna Neimeyer Major. He and Wilma Lee Hale were married Oct. 25, 1957.

Major was executive vice president of Gooding Rubber Co. in Benton. He was a member of Anna Masonic Lodge 520 AF&AM.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mark Major of Detroit, Mich., Terry Major of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two daughters, Susan Dawes of Joliet, Karen Lowes of Pinckneyville; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today, and Sunday until service time. Masonic service will be at 7:30 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronald Wright officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
