SIKESTON, Mo. -- William Dwight Jones, 74, of Sikeston died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born March 22, 1928, in Sikeston, son of William Wood and Annell Lee Lambert Jones. He and Charlotte Lee Burch were married in 1953, and she died in 1978.
He had served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a self-employed farmer and member of the American Legion Post 114 and Eagles Aerie 3319 in Sikeston.
Survivors include his mother of Sikeston; two sons, William A. Jones of Sikeston and Johnny P. Jones of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Brenda R. Toschi of Madera, Calif.; three stepsons, Jimmy Gregg and Robby Jones, both of Utah, and Tony Womack of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, Gene Jones of Sikeston; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral chapel, with Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
