Dwight Buchanan

Dwight L. "Buck" Buchanan, 56, of Scott City died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 10, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., son of Carl and Marjorie Deardorff Buchanan. He and Deborah Lynn Vaughn were married July 7, 1977, in Scott City. She died Dec. 1, 2004.

Buchanan was a truck driver with Truck Transport. He attended Christian Faith Academy.

Survivors include two sons, Scott Buchanan of St. Louis, Rodney Buchanan of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Kathy Westrich of Cape Girardeau, Megan Palmer of Scott City, Lindsay Aycock of Sikeston, Mo.; his mother of Dexter, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 11 a.m. Wednesday to service time.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. Mark Carbaugh and Johnny Seabaugh officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
