BLOOMFIELD -- Duane C. Christian, 57, of Flint, Mich., died Monday, July 13, 1992, in Flint. He was born July 25, 1934, at Bloomfield, son of Cecil and Ruth Christian. He and Marcia L. Coulter were married June 19, 1954. Christian received a master's degree from the University of Michigan. He taught school 26 years and coached numerous sports at Freeman Elementary School in Flint, retiring in June. He was a private pilot 10 years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army...

BLOOMFIELD -- Duane C. Christian, 57, of Flint, Mich., died Monday, July 13, 1992, in Flint.

He was born July 25, 1934, at Bloomfield, son of Cecil and Ruth Christian. He and Marcia L. Coulter were married June 19, 1954.

Christian received a master's degree from the University of Michigan. He taught school 26 years and coached numerous sports at Freeman Elementary School in Flint, retiring in June. He was a private pilot 10 years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dawn Christian of Kansas city, Kan.; a son, Derek Christian of Chicago, and his mother of Flint.

Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near here.

Friends may call Friday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from noon until time of service.
