JONESBORO, Ill. --Duane Barker, 69, of Georgetown, Ill., formerly of Anna, Ill. died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at his residence.
He was born May 1, 1934 at Anna, son of Raymond and Birdie Rendleman Barker. He and Celia Purcell were married Feb. 16, 1955, at Jonesboro.
Barker was retired from the General Motors Corporation. He was a former member of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Lee Barker of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Julie Elaine Clark of Danville, Ill.; a sister, Doris Barker of Anna; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Ebenezer Cemetery in Jonesboro. The Rev. Richard Pearce will officiate.
