Druetta Lance
CAIRO, Ill. -- Druetta B. "Dru" Lance, 67, of Waterloo, Ill., died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
She was born June 19, 1940, in Cairo, daughter of Charles and Myrtle Baker McCabe.
Mrs. Lance lived in Freeburg, Ill., 30 years, moving to Waterloo in October 2007.
She worked 25 years at Schnucks Markets in Belleville and Swansea, Ill. She attended St. Paul Church of Christ in Freeburg, and was a member of United Bakers Confectionary Union.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph A. Lance Sr. of Waterloo; three sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph A. and Lu Ann Lance Jr. of Lenzburg, Ill., Jeffrey and Kelly Lance of Waterloo, James and Lori Lance of Freeburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Dean Grant of Collinsville, Ill.; her father-in-law, Alvin Lance of Pulaski, Ill.; two brothers, Charles "Chick" McCabe of Marion, Ill., Paul McCabe of Phoenix; a sister, Charlotte Biggs of Centralia, Ill.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski, Ill., with Wiley D. Godfrey officiating.
