Dr. Urban L. Kramer Jr., 75, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at his home.
He was born July 16, 1929, in Clinton, N.J., son of Urban Lewis and Helen Apgar Kramer. He and Marian Schlemeyer were married June 20, 1959, at Labadie, Mo.
Kramer was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, Mo., and the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine.
He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association and VFW Post 3838.
Kramer served in the U.S. Air Force from July 28, 1948, to July 3, 1952.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Urban Kramer III of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Arlene Benn of Lincoln, Mo.; and a stepgrandchild.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Evangelical United Church of Christ. The Revs. Randy Heckman and Ernest Jordan will officiate.
