POPLAR BLUFF -- Funeral service for Dr. T. Eugene Ruff of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Jackson, was held Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel here with Ray Crawford officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Pitman, Ark.
Ruff, 83 years old, died Tuesday, March 26, 1991, at Doctors Hospital.
He was born Dec. 1, 1907, in Butler County. On Nov. 14, 1931, he married Lois Lorber at Columbia. She survives.
He practiced medicine for over 40 years. He had a general practice in the Jackson area for eight years, during which time he delivered 1,200 babies.
Ruff was a graduate of Washington University Medical School. He was a member of the Highland Drive Church of Christ, the Kiwanis Club, the American Association of Urologists, the American Medical Association, the Missouri State Medical Association and the Quad County Medical Association. He was a member of the Poplar Bluff Masonic Lodge. He was of the Scottish Rite and was a Shriner.
Other survivors are a brother, Glen Ruff, Maynard, Ark., and a nephew, Robert T. Ruff, Hot Springs, Ark.
