COBDEN, Ill. -- Dr. Robert L. Rader, 71, of Cobden died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro.
He was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Murphysboro, son of Clarence R. and Marie North Rader. He and Jane Hayes were married June 19, 1955, in Du Quoin.
Rader was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School, Murray State University, and Tulane School of Medicine.
He practiced medicine in the Anna community more than 24 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Rader was a member of Illinois Arts Council and Anna-Jonesboro Board of Education.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeff Rader of Dallas, Texas, William Rader of Littleton, Colo.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
