ANNA, Ill. -- Dr. Johnnie Lee Schlenker, 55, of Anna died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Union County Hospital. He was born May 5, 1945, in Anna, son of Levi and Blanche McRaven Schlenker. ANNA, Ill. -- Dr. Johnnie Lee Schlenker, 55, of Anna died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Union County Hospital.

He was born May 5, 1945, in Anna, son of Levi and Blanche McRaven Schlenker.

Schlenker was a chemist crystallogra; a senior staff scientist with Mobil Technology Co. in Thorofare, N.J., 22 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his father of Anna; a sister, Imogene Rodgers of Anna; and a brother, Troy Schlenker of Anna.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. Friday, and Saturday until service time.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
