DOVIE LACY

ANNA, Ill. -- Dovie Lacy, 93, of Anna died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at St. James Hospital in Pontiac, Ill.

She was born Jan. 9, 1908, at Anna, daughter of Robert and Sarah Poe Williams. She and William Ambrose Lacy were married Oct. 10, 1926. He died Nov. 13, 1973.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna and worked for 27 years as head of the food service program at Anna Junior High School.

Survivors include one son, Bill Lacy of Conway, Ark.; one daughter, Norma Clutts of Pontiac; one sister, Lillian Whitnel of Montgomery, Ill.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. today and Tuesday until the funeral.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roy Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Anna Cemetery.
