Dovie Jones, 86, of Lowell, Mich., died Friday, Aug. 22, 1997, at The Laurels of Kent Nursing Home in Lowell.
She was born April 30, 1911, in Bald Knob, Ark., daughter of Hugh and Edith Johnson Tuggle. She first married Raymond Newman, and later married T.J. Jones, both of whom preceded her in death.
Jones lived in Cape Girardeau 20 years, and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked on a riverboat, retiring in 1973.
Survivors include two daughters, Mae Alexander of Lowell, Linda Greenway of Decatur, Ala.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters, and four brothers.
Friends may call at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home in Lowell from noon to 1 p.m. Monday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Lowell.
