DOVIE GRANT

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Dovie Grant, 84, of Elgin, Ill. and formerly of Pulaski and Olive Branch died Saturday, Feb. 15, 1992, at the Fox Valley Nursing Center in South Elgin.

She was born July 26, 1907, in Thebes, Ill., the daughter of Mack Farland and Carrie Hill Dyer. In 1924, she married Eldon L. Grant, who preceded her in death June 16, 1972.

Survivors include two daughters, Pam Timmof St. Charles, Ill. and Frances Travers of Springfield, Ill.; a son, Seldon S. Grant of Nashville, Ill.; a sister, Helen Spears Mullings of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; a brother, Ted Dyer of Baker, Oregon; and five grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Ann Grant.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, where funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
