PERKINS -- Funeral service for Douglas G. Kinder of Mexico, Mo., will be held at 11 a.m. today at Precht-Pickering Funeral Home in Mexico. The Rev. Jerry Ostrom will officiate, with burial in East Lawn Cemetery at Mexico.
Kinder, 48, died Tuesday, March 1, 1994, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
He was born July 24, 1945, in Perkins, son of Thurman and Marcia Rendleman Kinder. He and Suecarol Hanna were married Oct. 7, 1978, in Mexico.
Kinder was a graduate of Bell City High School, and veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a warehouseman with Wetterau. Kinder had coached slow-pitch softball teams with the city league and then with traveling teams.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Eric Kinder of Versailles; his mother of Oran; a brother, James Kinder of Oran; three sisters, Georgia Kinder of Belleair Beach, Fla., Rozella Perry of Sikeston, and Jeanette Haman of Cape Girardeau.
