Dottie L. Schmich, 86, died Monday, April 16, 2001, at Christian Northeast Hospital in North St. Louis County. She was born April 8, 1915, in Allendale, Mo., the daughter of Frank Withers and Sleany Louis. She married Ray L. Funkhouser. He preceded her in death...

Dottie L. Schmich, 86, died Monday, April 16, 2001, at Christian Northeast Hospital in North St. Louis County.

She was born April 8, 1915, in Allendale, Mo., the daughter of Frank Withers and Sleany Louis. She married Ray L. Funkhouser. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, William Funkhouser; a daughter, Carolyn Kirsten; two sisters, Ora Schlegal and Allene Thomas; three brothers, Jimmy Withers, Louis Withers and Arthur Withers; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Services were held Wednesday at Buchholz Spanish Lake Mortuary in North St. Louis County.

Burial will be at noon today at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
