Dottie Audrey Bretzel, 83, of Scott City, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born Sept. 15, 1924, daughter of Avery Clarence and Callie Jane Dorris Green. She and Gilbert T. Bretzel were married on Oct. 18, 1941, at Benton, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2000.
Bretzel was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat (Jim) Hennig and Sharon (David) Ledure, both of Jackson; a sister, Letha Rogers of Sun City, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, Jason and Paul Ledure, Christopher and Kevin Maring, Taborri and Kim Bruhl, Heidi Vogtsberger and Juok Bethard; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter, Martha Jane Bruhl, who died in 1984, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Mike Malone will officiate, with burial at Sanders Family Cemetery in Scott City.
