APPLE CREEK, Mo. -- Dorothy B. Wibbenmeyer, 85, of Apple Creek died Monday, July 13, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 10, 1930, in Perry County, daughter of Felix and Helen Schrempp Rellergert. She and Virgil A. Wibbenmeyer were married Dec. 29, 1951.
Dorothy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ladies of St. Joseph and St. Joseph Ladies Quilters in Apple Creek.
Survivors include her husband; five children, Wayne (Christy) Wibbenmeyer of Ballwin, Missouri, Gary (Susan) Wibbenmeyer of Cape Girardeau, Kathy (Dave) Schumer, Rick (Louise) Wibbenmeyer and Terry (Lisa) Wibbenmeyer, all of Perryville, Missouri; two brothers, Leo (Mary Ann) Rellergert of Perryville and Charles (Dianne) Rellergert of Cape Girardeau; a brother-in-law, Tom Wibbenmeyer; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Rellergert and Mode Rellergert.
Also 14 grandchildren, Corinne, T.J., Andrew, Kaitlin, Amy, John, Maria, Veronica, Luke, Tyler and Elizabeth Wibbenmeyer, Kristen Renner, Lauren and Tim Schumer; and three great-grandchildren, Brynn, Mila and Levi Renner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Nathan Wibbenmeyer; three sisters, Margaret Wibbenmeyer, Leona Winkler and Alberta Buchheit; and three brothers, Robert, Aloysius and Linus Rellergert.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church in Apple Creek, with the Rev. Oscar Lukefahr and the Rev. Jim French concelebrants. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery at Apple Creek.
Memorials are preferred for St. Joseph Catholic Church steeple, St. Michael Cemetery or Nathan Wibbenmeyer Scholarship Fund at Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau.
