DONGOLA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Dorothy Swearingen of Dongola will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church. The Rev. William Horn will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.

Mrs. Swearingen, 83 years old, died Wednesday, April 3, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born March 31, 1908, daughter of Christian and Ethel Douglas Beck. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Robert Kossack of Vienna; four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
