CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Dorothy J. Stroder, 86, of Chaffee passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Millersville, daughter of Burette and Addie Robbins Brown.
Dorothy worked many years at Superior Electric in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee.
Loving survivors include a son, John W. (Carol) Stroder Jr. of Chaffee; a daughter, Melba J. McCall of Chaffee; a brother, Loomis "Jock" (Ailene) Brown; two sisters, Iva Houchins of Cornville, Ariz., Bonnie Clardy of Jackson; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John "Doc" Brown; two sisters, Mildred Runnels and Maude Austin; and a grandson, Kyle Nanney.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
