Dorothy Lucille Stroder, 72, of Millersville died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
She was born Nov. 21, 1930, at Crump, daughter of Linus Sylvanus and Ida Mae Ervin Stroder.
Stroder worked at International Shoe Co. 39 years, where she worked in the packing department and was an inspector. She also worked at Lee-Rowan four years, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of Haynes Chapel Congregational Methodist Church and its Women's Missionary Society, was secretary of the Sunday School, and custodian of the church for many years.
Survivors include a sister, Ruby Stroder of Millersville; a nephew, Mike Stroder; two nieces, Beverly Niswonger and Carol Ballard; two great-nieces, Rosie Wells and Caroline Ballard; a great-nephew, Gary Hale; a half sister, Mealy Bazzell of Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Margie Stroder of Millersville and Meta Stroder of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Dayton Stroder, and a sister, Dellie Irene.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Wednesday after 10 a.m. at Haynes Chapel Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Revs. Jerry Sander and Donald Sander officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Mike Stroder, Gary Hale, Paul Niswonger, Scotty Sander, Justus Yount and Johnny Hahn.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Haynes Chapel Fellowship Hall Building Fund or Stroder Cemetery.
